Minister Cuci Visits Biggest Seedlings Greenhouse in Balkans

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Bledi Cuci visited this Monday "Lisar Seedlings" in Divjaka, the biggest greenhouse in the Balkans, which produces over 15 million seedlings per year.
With an area of 3.6 hectares, this is the largest glass greenhouse of its kind in the Western Balkans, Divjaka of Albania, using modern Netherlands technology and supplies not only the domestic market but also exports.
Furthermore, "Lisar Seedlings" exports a great deal of seedlings to the West, 50 people are employed there and it is expected to expand further by Albanian government's support schemes for agriculture and Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance for Rural Development (IPARD) funds.
Besides, Minister Cuci declared that this greenhouse is a guarantee for all farmers to get quality seedlings and promised continuous support of greenhouses' expansion in Albania, to create an advantage not only in the domestic market but also for export.
"Such models should guide us further in the development of agriculture. This greenhouse is a guarantee for all farmers to get quality seedlings. The guarantee for the quality of agricultural products starts at the saplings. We will continue to support the expansion of greenhouses in Albania, to create an advantage not only in the domestic market but also for export", said Minister Cuci.
